“I have always had a fascination with shoes and accessories – anything to give a girl a boost in confidence! The brand is a reflection of my upbringing of being Eurasian. I wanted to showcase the best of both East and West and to marry them together to create MARY CHING” says founder Alison Mary Ching Yeung.

Alison, a graduate of Central Saint Martin’s Design School in London, started her Iconic shoe brand in Shanghai in 2009, catering to a high end, young, sophisticated clientele of fashion followers. Starting her own fashion brand at 26, she achieved tremendous success, including being collected in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Alison was introduced to Cynthia Phillips, a consultant and shoe enthusiast, through mutual friends in London and… a brand was re-born.
